It was pandemonium! The tumbleweeds were flying everywhere. I thought the world was going to end. I couldn’t even push my front door open. I had almost given up and was about to take my last breath so I called 911 and told them to send in the National Guard and save us from the horror of it. 😉
Unlike everyone in this video who just has a hate relationship with tumbleweeds, we have a love/hate relationship with tumbleweeds. We love them as a product to sell to movies, TV shows, and stage props but there are entirely too many of them in many western states. They are very poky and have sharp barbs that even get through leather gloves so it no wonder that most people hate them but there isn’t a more iconic symbol of the west, cowboys, and the wilderness than a tumbleweed blowing across the road. Every good western has one and most Wizard of Oz tornado scenes need some to set the look of the area. We wish we could help and it would be good business if we were down in NM right now. We could get people to bring them to us for free and we wouldn’t mind the help getting them.
